WACTA 2002 Junior Doubles Tournament
WACTA’s 2002 Junior Doubles
Tournament will be held on Saturday, April 20th from 7 p.m. to midnight at the
Four Seasons Tennis Club, VA. To sign
up for this event, please use the attached registration form. The registration fee is $15 per player. Pizza and refreshment will be provided. The
tournament is open to current WACTA members only (membership application is
acceptable now through 4/20 and please fill out the attached new membership
application). Junior Doubles are
categorized, following the USTA rules, into 6 divisions:
§
Division F for boys and
girls 10 and under (born after March, 1991), open to novice players only.
§
Division E for boys and
girls 12 and under (born after March, 1989).
§
Division D for girls 14 and under (born after March, 1987),
§
Division C for boys 14
and under (born after March, 1987) ,
§
Division B for girls 18
and under (born Feb, 1987 or earlier),
§
Division A for boys 18
and under (born Feb, 1987 or earlier),
The age of the older player
in a team decides the division. Girls can choose to play in boys’ divisions,
and playing in a higher age division is also permitted. If not enough teams in division B, D, or F,
they may be combined with division A, C, or E, respectively. The match format may vary division by
division, depending on the number of teams in each division.
Since this is a joint junior
and senior tournaments and only maximum of 40 teams can be accepted; therefore,
we will adopt the first come fist serve method. We accept only the official registration form, which is also
posted at www.wacta.org. Entry can be sent only by e-mail (biing_lin@yahoo.com) or by the USPS (WACTA, PO Box 1122,
Rockville, MD 20849). If you have a
partner, please send in both registrations at the same time. Minimum of one valid E-mail address is
requested due to ease in communication
and verification. Check payable to
WACTA and payments must be received postmarked by April 9, 2002.

Please join us our very first Senior Men’s and Senior Women’s Doubles Tournaments if you are age of 55 or older for woman and age of 60 or older for man. (see below for detailed information on qualification)
WACTA wants YOU if you are qualified for our very first Senior Doubles Tournament. Qualification are if you are age of 55 or order for woman and age of 60 or order for man. (see below for more detailed information on qualification)
WACTA’s 2002 Senior Doubles Tournament will be held on
Saturday, April 20th, from 7 PM to Midnight, at the Four Seasons Tennis Club,
VA. Seniors are defined as,
ladies
who were born on or before April 20, 1946, or
gentlemen
who were born on or before April 20, 1941
The tournament is open to
current WACTA members only (membership application is acceptable now through
4/20 and please fill out the attached new membership application). To sign up for this event, please use the attached
registration form. The registration fee
is $15 per player. A dinner box and
refreshment will be provided. If
possible, we will have both ladies and gentlemen divisions. The players should enter their skill levels
in the registration form for the tournament director to decide the grouping of
skill levels. The match format will be
determined by the number of teams in a group.
Since this is a joint junior

Our April Social Tennis will
be held on Saturday, April 13th at Four Seasons Tennis Club, VA from
7:00 pm to midnight. The cost is $15
per person and a dinner box will be served.
Seats are limited and first come first serve method will be
adopted. This event is open to both
members and non-members. The format
will be conducted both scheduled and non-scheduled and these formats are great
ways to meet other tennis players.
Please fill out the attached form and attached your check payable to
WACTA and send it to WACTA’s P.O. Box 1122, Rockville, MD 20849 by postmarked
of April 7th.
Youth Intermediate Tennis Camp - June 23 noon - 27 noon,
2002. Cost is around $450 to $500
(excluding to: (1) 20% financial aids from WACTA and Rho Phsi Foundation, and
(2)transportation). Detailed
information will be provided later so stay tuned!!!
Adult Summer Camp is back!!! It will be held from June
27 noon to June 30th noon, 2002. Cost
is around $180 (excluding tennis lesson).
