2012 Rho Psi Advanced and ProPrep Youth Tennis Scholarship
Rho-Psi Foundation awards scholarship to advanced Chinese youth tennis players, in the Great Washington Area, who demonstrate outstanding competition results in playing in school teams as well as USTA sponsored tournaments.
For 2012, four advanced players (two boys and two girls) will be selected by a special committee from WACTA for scholarship. The first girl and boy selected will receive $600 and the second boy and girl will receive $400. We encourage all Chinese players who are still in school (high, middle, or elementary schools). Special consideration will be given to the members of WACTA.
In addition, Rho-Psi Foundation offers ProPrep awards for promising tennis players who are national ranking and have been chosen to a national training program this year. The applicants have to demonstrate the capability and desire to become professional players. The winner will receive $2,000 scholarship.

WACTA 2011-2012 Team Tennis Series (TTS) will be held at the Four Seasons Tennis Club on the following dates: Oct 1, Nov 12, Dec 10, Jan 28, and Feb 25 (final). This event will accept 8 teams. Each team competes in 5 doubles matches in each tournament. Each doubles pair will play against 3 other pairs in a round-robin format for 2.5 hour court time (12 games per match) in each tournament. The 5 pairs of doubles are: 1) Women, 2) Mixed, 3) Men, 4) Open-I, and 5) Open-II (See bellows link for RULES for details). This is a WACTA members-only event.

WACTA will host 2011 Singles Tournament on August 20 and 21 at the Four Seasons Tennis Club. The tournament time is Saturday (Aug 20th) from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sunday (Aug 21st) from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This tournament is open to members only, qualifications and rules are described in WACTA website. To register, please click on the registration link below, you will receive a confirmation email immediately. If you don't receive a confirmation within two days, please contact tournament director at scott@wacta.org. The tournament director for Scott Cup singles is Raymond Lee. Registration deadline is August 15th and registration fee, $25 per person, is paid when you check in. Lunch boxes will be served on Saturday, August 20th. Tournament Rule is attached below.

2011 WACTA Summer Ladder Tournament

The 2010 WACTA Summer Ladder, will again be proudly sponsored by Mr. John Lin, president of CapStar Commercial Realty. WACTA is greatly appreicated Mr. John Lin's continue support at this summer ladder event year after year!
We will kick off CapStar Summer Ladder on Saturday, May 14th, 2011, and follow by two indoor competitions on Jun 4th, Jul 9th; and conclude with a final on Aug 6th. This event will take a maximum of 40 registered teams (all doubles, all skill levels, men, women, or mixed), which will be assigned with initial ranking and divided into 5 divisions. There will be four indoor tournaments held at the Four Seasons Tennis Club on above mentioned dates. Dinner boxes for players will be provided at each indoor tournament. In between the indoor tournaments, every team is encouraged to challenge other teams and accept as many challenges from other teams as possible. Please click here for the tournament rules.
Registration fee is $70.00 per person and is due when players arrive at the first indoor tournament on May 14th. The deadline for registration is May 13th, 2011. A registration of two players as a team has the priority over separate registrations of two individuals who need an assigned partner. The tournament is limited to WACTA members only. If you are currently not a WACTA member and wish to participate, please first register as a member at this website, and pay the membership at the first tournament date. WACTA is hosting the 2011 Mixed Double Tournament on Saturday, April 16, 2010 at 7:00 PM in Four Seasons Tennis Club.
This tournament is open to members only. Qualifications and rules are described in the tournament rules. To register, please submit your registration by clicking the registration link below. You will receive a confirmation email immediately. If you do not receive the confirmation email, please contact tournament director Mr. Li Wang by email. Please specify your combined competition level (for example, WACTA 6.5, 7.0, 8.0, or 8.5). If you don't have a partner, you can still register and we will try to find you one. A registration of two people as a team has priority over separate registrations of two individuals who need an assigned partner.

(CANCELED) 2011 WACTA Summer Tennis/Family Camp 6/23/11 - 6/26/11

The 2011 WACTA Summer Tennis/Family Camp will be held from Thursday, June
23rd through Sunday, June 26th at the Salisbury State University in
Maryland. The University is approximately 120 miles from Washington, DC,
and is about 30 miles from Ocean City and Rehoboth beach/outlet shopping
mall. There are many amenities at the University campus, such as 12
outdoor tennis courts, basketball courts, a baseball diamond, volleyball
courts, indoor tennis courts, and a swimming pool. There are many local
areas of interests as well.
The tennis clinic will be divided into two sessions. Each session will
have total of 8 hours of instructional time. The lesson plan will be the
same for each session. You can sign up for one or both sessions. There
will also be a tennis tournament in the evening during the camp.

The registration deadline is May 31, 2011. You will receive a $10
discount per person if you register by 4/30/2011.
